AdBarge sailing mid-harbour at blue hour between Kowloon and Hong Kong Island

Our story

Hong Kong's loudest screen.

Every night the city looks at the harbour. Now it talks back.

Made to be filmed: every pass becomes content on thousands of phones.
01

The stage

Victoria Harbour is the view on the postcard, the backdrop of the city's biggest nights and the first photo most visitors take. Two shores of promenades, hotels, offices and viewing decks all face the same water.

Yet the water itself has carried very little media: a few floating screens, lit for a few hours a night. The most watched space in Hong Kong is still, mostly, empty.

02

The moment

Visitors are back: arrivals are projected at 53.8 million for 2026, and 40.7 million came in the first nine months alone. At the same time, A Symphony of Lights, the nightly harbour show since 2004, is being retired in favour of light shows at other spots.

The crowds still come to the water every evening. For the first time in two decades, the harbour is looking for a new reason to look.

03

The idea

Victoria Waters has spent years putting brands on the harbour: campaign sails on junks, LED barges for launches and drone shows over the water. The same requests kept coming back: more hours, more faces, more flexibility, and a way for smaller brands to take part.

AdBarge is the answer: a purpose-built media vessel with five LED faces that sails a loop past both shores twelve hours a day, sold face by face, hour by hour, and booked online.

04

The promise

A good neighbour on the water. Screens go dark by 22:00. Every piece of content is checked before it plays. Weather always comes first, and nothing flashes towards shipping.

And honest from the start: AdBarge is in development, and every number we share can be traced to a source.

Who runs it

Harbour pros, on board.

AdBarge is a product and service offered and managed by Victoria Waters, which already delivers floating activations, LED barges, campaign sails and drone shows on Victoria Harbour.

Owner of the asset

AdBarge Limited

A new Hong Kong company, being set up to fund the project. It will own the LED, containers, booking platform and contracts.

Manager and operator

Runs sales, crews, marine permits and daily operations. Barge and tugs are chartered, not bought.

Permits in-house
